When you normally think of parking garages not the best thoughts come to mind. Would you ever imagine a parking garage to be an incredible location to do a wedding engagement session? Especially with all the competition of amazing photo locations near Salt Lake City such as the Great Saltair, the Salt Flats, Park City, Antelope Island, and Big & Little Cottonwood Canyons who would’ve thought that an urban parking deck session at Exchange Place with a backdrop of skyscrapers would hold its own?

Austin & Cassidy were a very nice newly engaged couple that were beyond excited to get behind the camera. Some people imagine that the realness of getting married hits as soon as your partner gets down on one knee, however I believe it hits as soon as you do your engagement session. These two fully embraced those feelings and it shows with these epic Downtown Salt Lake City skyline photos. This was actually my first parking garage shoot and I can’t wait to do another one soon! This would be a great option in the winter!
