Provo Canyon - Orem, Utah

J+A were originally going to elope at the Church of the Dirt just above Deer Valley ski resort in Park City, but unfortunately the Park City City Council voted to shut it down. We therefore had to pivot and find a new location for their elopement. They really wanted a scenic, mountainous backdrop, so we scoured AllTrails looking for the best location in the Wasatch Mountains. We settled on Provo Canyon just outside of Orem, Utah for the elopement spot. It was an absolute dream!

The ceremony was scheduled to begin midday which usually means harsh light for wedding photos. We got so lucky with the cloud coverage and were able to have a beautiful and meaningful ceremony. Their officiant was a friend who brought his wife along. J+A exchanged heartfelt vows and then champagne was popped! And of course some Fireball whisky…

J+A then shared wedding cupcakes and then the official marriage certificate was signed. The couple wanted me to be a witness which was an awesome first! Being the photographer, I don’t usually make it in the wedding galleries that I deliver :)

We the headed off to get solo shots of the newly married couple. We set up at the glorious Buffalo Peak and got some all time wedding photos. Next up was the Stewart Falls hike located at Sundance, Utah. The couple changed and wore backpacks with a “Mrs.” sign on each. It was truly a dream elopement day for these two brides!

If you are interested in eloping in or near Salt Lake City, Utah please contact me and we can get started! I have multiple elopement and wedding photo packages fitting all types of coverage for your wedding day!
