Weddings can be stressful. Sometimes when planning a wedding it feels like there are a million different moving parts ranging from bridal party attire, venue availability, guest seating, etc. What if instead you had a more relaxed backyard wedding with living room furniture instead of a more traditional wedding?

I started my morning driving from Salt Lake City, UT to this backyard wedding located at a quaint home in Kaysville, UT. Being relatively new to Utah, I had not spent much time in Kaysville as Salt Lake City is where i am primarily based. As soon as I met Alex & Macy I could tell that their love for each other was very genuine. Their first look was such a special moment. Who doesn’t love a profound first look? Macy wore a beautiful flowy green wedding dress & Alex wore a flowery green tie. I was all for the green color scheme for this wedding! The backyard was even covered in beautiful green grass and vegetation. Usually the bride is dressed in traditional white but I was a big fan of this unique green wedding dress!

The set up and decorations for this wedding were filled with living room decor. What a great idea! I especially loved the rugs, end tables, couches & chairs. This is such a great way to help your wedding guests feel comfy & cozy while you exchange your wedding vows. Also if you are doing a backyard wedding at a family member’s house, this can really cut down on costs as chairs and other wedding decor really add up! This whole set up had quite the bohemian green vibe.

The wedding ceremony itself was very sweet & moving and filled with laughter from family & friends. We could have not asked for better weather in July for this beautiful green backyard wedding.

If you’re currently planning a wedding, consider using living room furniture for your wedding guests!
