Couple Walking Through Trail At Albion Basin Alta, Utah

Albion Basin - Alta Ski Resort Utah

Have you ever been to a ski resort in the summer? Alta is one of my favorite places to ski and turns out, it’s a fantastic location for photoshoots in the summer. Utah is known for its wildflowers, and one of the best places to catch them is Albion Basin at Alta Ski Resort. There is a path that winds through the wildflowers that Is roped off to prevent trampling. This year, Alta was kind enough to include sectioned-off photo areas amongst the wildflowers to give photographers better angles and to ensure that everyone stays on the designated path. (Please do not go off the path or pick any of the wildflowers)! Located about 50 minutes from Salt Lake City up Little Cottonwood Canyon, the drive is worth the Switzerland-like views.

Eric and Cassandra were troopers to wake up in wee hours of the morning to drive up Little Cottonwood for this session. This was the last day of their vacation and they had to fly back home the same day. I absolutely love it when folks from out of state book me as I get to show them Utah’s beauty! Who knows maybe a few might stay!
